In other news...

•I switched C to 24 month clothes because things were no longer snapping. And I switched J to 3’s because of the 3 inch gaps at the bottom of his pants AND shirts. Seriously 3’s!! I now have to go shopping because he has 4 shirts! Darn
•We are continuing our week of looking at preschools and I’ll have a full wrap up next week. We have found two so far that we like, but would like to be completely sure before we commit.
•We installed a new shelf in the kitchen which maybe my favorite DIY project EVA

•J is still rocking soccer, and needs to continue to practice, because C is also rocking soccer
•C walks all the time now, did I ever mention that?
•We have the pictures from the Haley Holiday shoot with Brooke. Here are a few favorites:

•The boys like sledding with friends
•I’ve joined a girl band, we look better than we sound:)

Annnnnnnnnnnd nap is over so only half get pictures! TTFN!!

When it rains...

It pours, apparently cold water. When we did our inspection on the new house in October, he mentioned the water heater didn't look great, but if functioned so we didn't think too much of it. We also notice, (recently) that the temp was all the way up, a huge no no in the world of baby proofing. But especially upstairs the water never gets hot. When I shower I turn it all the way hot, and it never is really that warm. Also during the inspection we found 2 huge gas leaks that needed to be fixed, and there is a gas line in the garage that just isn't needed. All of these we've know about and planned on fixing for a while. We'll Monday there was water on the floor, not a ton, but some.
Plummer came and the water heater is donezo. While he was here we had him check the furnace and humidifier. This is also apparently not in good shape. It doesn't get rid of the water after it uses it. Which then sits and molds. So that needs to go.
So now instead of having a weekend in Vegas to ourselves next month, we are going to enjoy, hot water and mold free air. It is probably a good trade off, but I’m still disappointed. And stinky, I really need a shower

stream of thinking...

i hate having to find the perfect preschool for john. in fact i'm angry about it. i hate more that i'm trying SO hard. i'm doing really good with my resolutions. (including the two i didn't mention on here). i really would like colin to be weaned. i really don't want to wean colin. it may just be easier to nurse him until college. the boys need to start sleeping through the night, all three of them. i despise cleaning under my table and really should do it more. i'm nervous of what is going to happen to my body when i wean. i want to be a better friend to so many people, and do feel i have the time, which is a cop out i know. i need a vacation, badly. i don't want to plan a vacation i just want to happen upon one. i love holding babies. any baby will do, but i really love those that look up at me with big eyes and smile. if they stayed like that i'd have a hundred. even with the sleepless nights. the don't stay like that:) they make your name into a song (maaa maaaaa maaaaaa maa) or they ask you to cuddle just a little closer at nap time. with both hands. and they still let me hold them and they look up at me with big blue eyes and smile. and they throw noodles and peaches and ask for 'moe'. damn they're worth the preschool search. back at it...

JM: Soccer Player

Today was J's first day of soccer at the indoor soccer field in Boulder. (Yes Chris the one with the bar above it:) He LOVED it! I was super impressed with his listening ears and his (limited) raw talent. His favorite part was running between the goals. He also liked getting to kick the cones, the balls and the balloons. Probably because I don't let him kick anything but soccer balls in our house. Such a mean mommy. The pictures are dark and I don't know what to do about it.

Running to kick cones over! (While holding up his pants:)

Coach Alec teaching J to flip over the cones with his foot.

Even C liked running around after balls! (Not real sure WHERE his ball is...)

Andrea Roberts Photos

Recently (OKAY, it was over Thanksgiving break), a wonderful friend Andrea was kind enough to take time out of HER vacation to take beautiful pictures of my family. Andrea owns Andrea Roberts Photography of Ohio but, lucky for me, she's moving to Colorado over the summer. I cannot wait to have her take our picture again. They are all beautiful! Thank you Andrea, and I'm still getting my order together, EVERYONE wants some:)
Our new header is my favorite family shot, and here are a few of the others.

Colin: 1 year old stats

Yesterday was Colin's 1 year old cardiologist appointment. It couldn't have gone better! Colin's heart looked very healthy and we don't have to go back until June! After that we could be on yearly appointments! SO exciting!!
This morning we had Colin's 1 year well baby check up. Again, he's super healthy, practically perfect, etc, etc:) He did have to get 3 shots (my personal max for the kids) but was a great sport about it.
Here are his stats:
Weight: 24# 4.5oz (between 50 and 75 percentile)
Length: 32inches (between percentile 90 and 95)
Head:19inches (between percentile 75 and 90)

It means he's slowed down in the weight category, but hasn't in the height.

Seth and I think that it's funny that at one year John weighed 22 pounds and now Colin is 24. Exactly 2 pounds apart, which is what they were at birth... Two pounds apart.

(We didn't get into the doctor's because we've been waiting for our new insurance to kick in.)

2010, a new year a new begininng!

Here are the resolutions for our family. I have SO many things to update the blog about, but we're going to start here:) Happy New Year to everyone!!

Kelly: I'm going to stop loosing it and yelling, both I do too much. So far so good, but it's taking a lot more effort than I expected.

Seth: He doesn't know. He never knows. He now says to look like Gerard Bulter... He he he, good luck baby:)

John; Continue to learn to go to sleep by himself. Tonight is not a good night, it is a work in progress.

Colin: What is there to work on at one? In a year I like him to be weaned, and being potty trained would be nice, but seriously Doodle, no pressure:)
